Scholarship Program 2005

For the eighth year, MVEC has awarded $100,000 to five local Rio Grande Valley High School students. Over 200 students from across the Valley applied for the 2005 scholarships. The winners were honored at the Magic Valley Electric Coop Annual Meeting on April 18th, in Weslaco, TX. Berenice Martinez from Mercedes High plans to attend UTPA University. Elizandro Munoz III from UTPA plans to attend the Baylor College of Medicine. Laura Yvette Rodriguez from Edinburg High plans to attend UT Austin. Leena El-Omar from Edinburg North High plans to attend UT Austin. Karina A. Lopez from Economedes High plans to attend UTPA.
