Scholarship Program 2007



MVEC has awarded four $20,000 scholarships to local Rio Grande Valley High School Students. Over 200 students from across the Valley applied for the 2007 scholarships. The winners were honored at the Magic Valley Annual Meeting on April 16, 2007 in Weslaco, TX. (L-R) Jose Angel Reyna from Donna High will be attending Baylor University, Landon S. Ellington from The Science Academy will be attending Texas A&M University, Samantha Gelvoria from Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North High will be attending Rice University, and Yanson Chen from Edinburg High will be attending The University of Texas at Austin.
