Scholarship Program 2008

MVEC has awarded four $20,000 scholarships to local Rio Grande Valley High School Students. Over 200 students from across the Valley applied for the 2008 scholarships. The winners are Michael J. Garcia from San Benito High School will be attending The University of Texas Pan American, Justin Joel Castellano from Pharr San Juan Alamo High School will be attending The University of Texas at Austin, Matthew Nicola Rispoli from South Texas Science Academy will be attending Southern Methodist University and Leah Marie Wise from Harlingen High School will be attending The University of Texas at Austin.
