Scholarship Program 2009



MVEC has awarded four $20,000 scholarships to local Rio Grande Valley High School Students. Over 200 students from across the Valley applied for the 2009 scholarships. The winners were honored at the Magic Valley Annual Meeting on April 13, 2009 in Weslaco, TX. (L-R) Lee H. Ellington from The Science Academy will be attending Texas A&M University, Jessica Guerrero from Veterans Memorial High School will be attending The University of Texas Pan American , Anyssa I. Avila from Edinburg North High School will be attending The University of Texas Pan American and Charles E. Burns II from Lyford High School will be attending Texas A&M University.
