Youth Tour 2006

Victoria Montemayor from Donna and Allen Ramirez from Weslaco were selected to represent Magic Valley Electric Coop at the 23rd Government-in-Action Tour in Washington D.C. Victoria and Allen will fly to Washington D.C. where they will join approximately 122 other fellow participants. Students on the tour learned about electric cooperatives, American history and U.S. government. They will attend educational seminars and visit with their representatives in the House and the Senate. They also will visit historical sights in and around Washington such as the U.S. Capitol, monuments, the Smithsonian, Arlington Cemetery, and countless other places.
